Paramedics arrived at the scene shortly and managed to save the woman’s life.

”Mum asked me if I wanted to drink some tea,” the young hero told regional website faktykaliskie.pl.

”As soon as she went to put down the cup, it dropped to the ground. Then mum didn’t move: she didn’t say anything.

”Then I ran to my dad, and asked whether to call an ambulance, but my dad probably did not understand what I said, so I called [the ambulance myself].”

Oskar dialed 999 and his calls for help alerted the boy’s aunt, who was nearby. She continued the conversation with the operator on duty.

The boy’s prompt response managed to save his mother’s life.

He was given an award for his bravery.
