Forty names have made the shortlist, and it is now up to fans to decide the final eleven via UEFA’s official website.
Striker Lewandowski, who plays for Bundesliga side Bayern Munich, has had a spectacular year.

The 27-year-old delighted fans on 22 September by scoring five goals in record time during a match against rival Bundesliga team Wolfsburg.

Meanwhile, midfielder Krychowiak has been described by his club Sevilla FC as having been “instrumental” in securing the Spanish side’s victory in this year’s Europa League.

Rival clubs now need to fork out EUR 45 million to snap up the player. Voting for UEFA’s Team of the Year lasts until 5 January. (nh/rk)
